Homer Z. Bostwick, 74, of 2000 Merryhill Dr., attorney and former probate judge, died Sunday in St. Anthony’s Hospital. His law offices were at 33 N. High St. Mr. Bostwick served on the old Columbus Justice Court for several years and was the first presiding judge of the Columbus Municipal Court. He served as probate judge from 1917- 1931 and as juvenile judge between 1917 and 1929, when the court of domestic relations was established. Mr. Bostwick received his education at Canal Wincester High School and the Ohio State University law college. In 1948 he sought the Republican nomination for state representative.

He was a member of the University Club, Athletic Club, York Lodge of Masons, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Knights Templar, Elks, Odd Fellows, Moose, Nomads, Modern Woodmen of the World and Red Men. He was associated with the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Association and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. Bostwick is survived by his wife, Estella M. Bostwick.
