Joseph F. Dierdorff Dies at Indiana Health Resort Following Week’s Illness

FAILING FOR MONTHS

Had Not Been Able to Resume Employment Since Operation Several Months Ago

Joseph F. Dierdorff, aged 49, of Parkview avenue, Bexley works manager for the Jeffrey Manufacturing Co., died at French Lick Springs, Ind., Monday morning, where he had gone a week ago for his health. Mr. Dierdorff underwent an operation for appendicitis at Mt. Carmel hospital several months ago and had not been able to resume his duties since. Recently he had suffered from acute Bright’s disease and his death is believed to have been due to this ailment.

He had been connected with the Jeffrey Manufacturing Co., since a young man, having been in the employ of the company for the past 28 years, 10 years of which were as works manager.

He was a member of the Masonic order and belonged to the Elks. He also was a member of the Columbus Country club and the Columbus Athletic club.

Mrs. Dierdorff, his wife, was with him at the time of his death. Surviving him also are two daughters, Mrs. Francis Grove and Miss Eleanore Dierdorff, both at home; two brothers, P. C. Dierdorff, of Cleveland and William Dierdorff of Columbus, and his father, H. B. Dierdorff of Columbus.
