FORMER COLUMBUS DRUGGIST IS DEAD
--George E. Giffin, Los Angeles, Succumbs at Piedmont Road Home—
George E. Giffin, aged 57, of Los Angeles, Calif., former resident and druggist in Columbus died Wednesday night, in the home of his brother-in-law, the Rev. Robert S. Burris, 322 Piedmont road, just two months after the death of his wife.
He had been at the Burris home since the funeral of Mrs. Giffin and three weeks ago was taken ill with pneumonia. Apparently he was recovering and was to have left Saturday for California, but a change in his condition caused postponement of the trip.
--Brother Had Left—
His brother, Dr. S. O. Giffin, local physician and former city councilman, and his sister, Mrs. Martha Jones of Dayton, are en route to Los Angeles by auto where they were to be with him for a time.
Mr. Giffin for a number of years before going west conducted a drug store at St. Clair and Leonard avenues.
Pending completion of funeral arrangements upon word form the brother and sister, the body will be at the J. F. Merrick funeral home, 3217 North High street.
Mrs. Giffin, who died in Los Angeles and whose funeral and burial took place in Columbus, was a sister of Rev. Mr. Burris, pastor of Oakland Park Presbyterian church.
