STROKE FOLLOWED BY DEATH OF MRS. MONROE
Mrs. Clara Collins Monroe, aged 79, died Friday morning in White Cross hospital, following a stroke suffered Monday at the residence, 29 Winner avenue. Mrs. Monroe apparently was in good health, having returned from a trip abroad Saturday.
She was the wife of the late Charles A. Monroe and was born in Logan. She had been a resident of Columbus 27 years and a member of the Broad Street M. E. church and the Altrurian club.
She is survived by her daughter, Miss Florence Monroe, with whom she made her home; Carl C. of Dayton, Frank D. of Columbus and James R. Monroe of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren, Carl, Jr., and Dorothy Monroe of Dayton.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Schoedinger chapel. Burial will be in Green Lawn abbey.
