Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm. Friday in St. Paul\'s Episcopal church for Dr. Andrew W. Prout, 63, of 890 Fairway Blvd, who died Wednesday in Mt. Carmel Hospital.

Dr. Prout, an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist 40 years in Columbus operated a hospital and private medical practice at 380 E. Town St. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, he received his medical degree at Ohio State University. He also studied medicine in Vienna. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Columbus Country Club, the Columbus Club and the Columbus Riding Club. He also was a member of the board of trustees of Columbus Academy and was affiliated with Phi Delta Theta and Nu Sigma fraternities.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marion H. Prout; three sons, Cmdr. Andrew W. Prout, Jr., Huston M. and Frank J. Prout II; a brother, Frank J. Prout, president of Bowling Green State University; a sister, Mrs. Walker S. Buel of Washington, and a grandchild.

The Rev. Robert L. Bull and the Rev. C. Ronald Garney will officiate at the service. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Abbey. Friends may call at the Schoedinger funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be R. E. Klages, U. S. Sen. John W. Bricker, F. E. Rathburn, George C. Bobb, Harry T. Minister, John W. Galbreath, Robert F. Boda and Robert L. Barton.

Honorary pallbearers, all medical doctors, are Drs. Arthur M. Hauer, A. G. Helmick, T. R. Williams, W. H. Hodges, George Cooperrider, Bruce Lindsey, John G. Alcorn, Richard H. Wallace, J. F. Bateman, W. C. Davis, Kenneth Taylor, Hugh Beatty, John O. Welch, R. O. Adams and W. B. Merrill.
