RITES FOR ROLLIN SWISHER PLANNED AT 2 P.M. MONDAY
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Schoedinger funeral home for Rollin Swisher, 92, one time chairman of the State Civil Service commission, who died Friday at his home, 603 E. Town St.
A native of Newark, he was appointed to the Civil Service post on Jan. 15, 1921, by former Gov. Harry J. Davis. He retired Aug. 30, 1929.
Prior to his entrance into politics, Mr. Swisher taught in the public schools at Newark and Logan. He formerly was in the cigar manufacturing business.
Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Belle Hamlet of Newark and two nephews, Carl Swisher and Harold White, both of Jacksonville, Fla.
Friends may call at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Abbey.
